I asked my kid what the messages say and she said asked if I meant the messages, presumably from strangers, that say they'll be sent back to X country. I asked how a stranger would know which country to name and she said, "That's the scary thing." Maybe it's just kids in her school and maybe the sender knows the kids. We thought it was related to this but it would be easier to understand if it's a local problem.

Sounds like college students across country are also getting texts. Per news articles, those are anti-Black messages. I assume it’s election related, even if it turns out not to be from a Trump supporter, as indicated on one sample text. I don’t know what MCPS students received.

WE got the same email in Frederick County. I think it's going around in a lot of counties.
