The vote totals were updated, jackass.

Not really. I checked in that same moment. Just can’t do math like most of the DC Council. Good riddance

When the OP went up, the votes in favor were 170,000 give or take. Now it’s 186,000 give or take. The percentages have changed too. Maybe you misread it initially?

Initiative 83 was at least 1 election cycle too late. If we could have elected a couple adults in 24 thanks to it, maybe he would have given the council a chance.

Ridiculous. The initiative didn’t say anything other than you can rank your preferences.

Boom. 72% - almost as high as how many people voted to re-elect the prison-bound bribe-taking Council member

They have to fund it. This is the only piece of good news tonight.

Elon Musk will do it if the mayor doesn't fund it, and Trump will make DC Great Again!

What a wonderful world!

The council and mayor have to fund it. They don’t want to do this, but it will be hard for them to ignore 170,000 votes.

Apparently Bowser said something about potentially postponing the implementation of this to 2028. The reason being of course is that she knows that RCV will hurt her reelection prospects.

Great. Can we elect some moderates?

That margin will be hard for the mayor and council to ignore.
