It was the only other Ivy she was at all interested in and I think there’s a lot of overlap in who those campuses appeal to. She’s actually a Global Affairs major, but that is heavily poli sci/IR with a good dose of Econ and stats to be more policy focused rather than theoretical ( if interested read about the Jackson School that houses the undergrad major) . So I don’t know about the Poli sci department specifically but the resources of that the school just blow me away on a regular basis. Also there is so much fun to be had and that isn’t necessarily the case with all schools in that peer group

Anonymous wrote:Super happy at Brown right now. Brian just started 1-year masters in public affairs (5-years) also if they switch interests a bit. They can stay 1 more year and get out with a Masters.
The Ivy League’s only one-year residential master’s program in public affairs, the MPA prepares students to be public policy leaders, analysts and advocates in government, politics, and the nonprofit, and private sectors, both in the U.S. and abroad.
Through our rigorous one-year program that runs from early June to May, students will sharpen their analytical, communication, and strategic leadership skills needed to address pressing societal challenges as future global leaders.
