Until this one, not sure I ever knew someone personally who was affected by a listeria outbreak. But with the baby carrots, I have several friends who got sick (or their kids got sick) from this. Personally I tend to buy the Trader Joe's organic carrots too but had not the past few weeks.

Curious how sick they were. What symptoms?

I saw that and I never notice recalls normally. It was just about every brand of carrots I could think of. And carrots are an item that most people always have. Scary.

So far, one person died. Yes, it's not great. Keep it in perspective, more people died going to the supermarket yesterday.

I had three partial bags of carrots on my fridge and they were all from the recalled farm. This is bound to get worse.

It is absolutely terrifying that thought which was on my mind before election. Wish more people would pay attention.

Why shouldn’t it be happening? They are downstream from cattle farms. I’m grateful our govt still reports and monitors this. They may end this service with new administration.

I don’t. Food recalls don’t bother me at all.
