Stuff about the economy with regard to presidential elections really leaves me cold, other than the fact that historically, Democratic presidencies have consistently outperformed Republican presidencies with regard to the economy.

It's instructive to look at history--say, back to 1872. Fact is, cost of living has been far more stable in the last 70 years than it ever was before. The increase in housing prices since 2011 to 2020 (which includes Trump's term in office) or so looks very much like the increase from 2000 to 2008 (as well as the increase post WWII--which didn't last as long because the US invested in the GI bill and home construction took off).

I don't think about the economy at all with regard to who is president, I think about character and values.

The woman chose to work in his administration. Why would anyone respect what she has to say? Her only allegiance is to her ambition. Unfortunately she’s so transparent that she will never amount to anything more than a political hack.

Welp I just lost what remaining respect I had left for Nikki Haley. Party and Personal Ambition over Country I guess is how she sees it.

What are we to believe? The version of Nikki Haley a few months ago earlier this year who campaigned passionately that Trump was a disaster for our country or the Nikki Haley from this morning who just endorsed trump in an op-ed in the WSJ. She wants a job with him again and she has no integrity.


If Trump loses, she has no place building up the normal faction of the Republican party now, she deserves to be exiled in the fringes forever with Vance et al.

Whatever respect I had for her during the primary is completely gone. I might have voted for her in 2028 if she had taken a real stand, but no chance now.

She appeased the party without throwing out her support right away and letting it simmer too long. Probably the smartest move she could have made.

Trump didn’t even have any good policies. Whatever is she talking about? Policy-wise, I mean.

Trump beat her but not by much even when she conceded she was still running up respectable percentages. She's by her own admission hasn't spoken to Trump since June, just wating on stand by. There's no way her voting block is going to Trump. If they voted for a woman R candidate, theyre voting for Harris secretly. This will be the 2016 Bernie-to-Trump defection all over again.
