I don't think that they are actively trying to destroy the government. But I think they are trying to weaken the regulatory powers of the government for the benefit of big business. They want corporations and the 0.1% to be able to make uncontrolled profit and government controls, like energy, pollution, taxes and other legal regulation and control interfere with businesses being able to do what they want for profit.

So, the point is to make government unable to control and regulate businesses. Outside of allowing corporate America to reap profits to the detriment of the people, land and resources, they don't really want to destroy the government. They still benefit from a lot of other aspects of government.

Trump wants to put RFK Jr. -- a person with brain damage from a parasite -- in charge of healthcare. RFK Jr. wants to ban vaccines and fluoride in water.

They're a clown show.
