The last two times I have been to TJs, I asked staff who were stocking shelves where something was. They promptly stopped what they were doing and took me directly to the items. I Donny get that customer service elsewhere.

Plus, we like the frozen stuff.

The last few posts, especially the one saying that the cashier has our emotional well being as their top priority (something like that) as someone associated with the store.

I'm not associated with TJs at all and agree with everything they said. I buy a ton of produce there, nuts, flowers, kombucha, tea, frozen berries, shrimp and more because it's usually fresher and cheaper than Giant or Safeway. It's also quicker because the stores are smaller and the aforementioned cashiers are efficient, friendly and helpful. I just wish they would open at 7am vs. 9am so I could do all of my shopping very early.

Everything expires so quick unless it’s frozen?

How does this differ from things at any other grocery store? I’m confused?

Also, Giant sells seasonal items, too. So I’m still confused. Can you elaborate?

NP here, I think it's just tongue in cheek. TJ cashiers are notoriously chipper and chatty.

I don't shop there because the one near me has poor produce. It's good for seasonal snacks things, I'll often go once before Christmas for that stuff.

11:12, I think you’re just missing how fervent TJ lovers are. I like it fine but don’t seek it out.

Because of the herb popcorn and the peanut butter ritz-like crackers. Also, it is the best and most economical place to buy nuts, cheese, and wine, which all cost a fortune everywhere else.

The produce is better than it is at giant, Harris teeter or Safeway in Bethesda so it’s a total no brainer. It’s also so much easier to shop and more pleasant. Great eggs, milk, dairy selection. I don’t understand how people can go to giant though so to each their own.

The seasonal flavors are fun (pumpkin mini cone love right here), and they actually have customer service. No one in the world is more invested in your emotional well being than your cashier.

What is with that last sentence?

Good food at low prices. I’m not seeing the issue here.

I’m headed there now to pick up ground coffee and some other things. It’s nearly half the price as it is at Giant. Why would I pay more?

It's my closest grocery store, we've developed favorites sold there, we also shop at a traditional grocery store to fill out the mainstays.

Doubt you'll be convinced. And that's fine, I don't share the love of Aldi's, that its fans do. We don't all have to like the same things.

Staples are less expensive (except compared to say ALDIs) and the seasonal stuff is really good. I love the pumpkin hold a cones they have right now and their veggie harvest chili

I have tried to understand why people shop at Trader Joe’s for years now. Not a single time that I’ve gone have I ever filled a basket or truly understood the reason for its hype.

Everything is seasonal or expires so quickly unless it’s frozen.
