I have the Tumi Rivas backpack in a pretty plum color, and I love it.

I'm not a petty cow and I agree with PP. Adults look ridiculous in backpacks unless traveling. And a "fashion backpack?"? come on. Just because someone offers something for sale (lots of students in China use backpacks) doesn't mean it's wise to buy one

That’s like saying a Herman Miller office chair isn’t fashionable. Sure ok, it’s not part of YOUR chosen esthetic. But it’s ergonomically correct and many of them are beautifully designed. Same with backpacks. They are a million times better for your spine and many are much cooler than any LV neverfull, or whatever they’re called, could be.

And YOUR aesthetics are just wrong. A "fashion backpack" on a mature woman is ridiculous, your poor Herman Miller analogy notwithstanding.

I’ve been using this since 2019, and it still looks great.

Totally. Mine has zippers and all they will get from an outer zipper is some chapstick.
It has a shoulder strap so if I'm in a crowded area or get a sense, I switch to underarm or fronthold.
Started 30 years ago in Europe (I miss THAT backpack) and always use one, no issues.

I have a backpack for travel. It is neutral leather and so very very practical. I don't care how it looks as I need my hands free and my shoulders balanced.

I got a backpack as a diaper bag for travel because I wanted one with a sleeve for my carryon handle. It’s fine. I would not say it’s fashionable. Having the backpack straps helps when also hauling a kid any distance. Backpacks are not a fashion item, just get what is practical.

I’m making some Black Friday lists and I saw some Kate Spade sunglasses I love. I was clicking around for other items and saw a travel backpack/laptop bag that looked both useful and even chic. I’m not 100% on this one and would love feedback on this type of item from people who own and use them. Do you like them, hate them? Love it/regret it?
