My issue is when he is yelling/berating shaming certain players by calling them names, for example, “entitled” because their “parents can afford to send them to a private school” does not seem appropriate since in context it had nothing to do with their performance. Actually I don’t think it’s really appropriate for any adult to try to shame a child by calling them entitled in front of their teammates.

This is a whole separate thread.

And, it seems like you didn’t like the first round of responses so you are trying to steer people back to the responses you want.

Take it up with the coach I am sure there will be no repercussions for your kid.

They have a mom who asks is this OK, then they probably are very entitled.

Yes. My kid goes to a private school and if she's acting entitled I want her to be called out on it.

+1 no problem with it. Of course it likely fell on deaf ears.

I am a middle school teacher and I have told students that they are immature because they can be. There are some disgusting students and they act immature. Why would I tell them any differently? I have never called anyone entitled but then again, my students population just isnt. However, I see nothing bad about it.

"Even if there is some truth" - that means they're extremely entitled/immature for it to even become a topic.

would you be OK with a teacher saying the same thing to your teen child? That they are entitled because of the school, their parents can afford to send them to?

Maybe it depends on the school but I tell my kids they are entitled all the time and don’t mind if teachers and coaches say the same (assuming they are acting that way). I mean what are you telling ur kids?
