No way. Be a parent.

We have relaxed parenting compared to many. We would never allow this. We don’t see any reason for it. Our kids are currently teens and neither have graduated HS.

Who knows how we will feel when they are over 18 and in college if they are still living with us. Right now, 14 and 17 and I can’t imagine this being okay in the near future for my 17 yo. It’s different if they are away in college and you aren’t seeing it.

I wouldn’t allow this. But I’m surprised at the responses here. It seems most people on DCUM are cool with their teens having sex, so why object to a sleepover?

OP here, troll face. Reading comprehension is your friend. I said

“I have a hard (no) stance on this. Junior in HS.

More flexible about other things but not this.”

I’m not asking for my teen, hearing other parents are ok with this and it was surprising.

My wife's family did it, when she was in high school. I doubt we'd do it, but there weren't really bad consequences. The two of them had sex, but they were doing that before sleeping over was allowed, and they never had sex when anyone else was home anyway.

In high school absolutely not. College it depends.

Probably never, although I could see a scenario of inviting them on vacation with us if we had an extra bedroom. Staying over in our home in the same bedroom though? No. Creepy.

Was just talking to my therapist today about how my mother allowed my sister to do this in hs. My sister feels it was neglect at best.

I'm pretty open about sexuality and I think it is a very natural thing for teenagers to be sexually active. But I would not allow this. No way. It's not appropriate at all.

They aren’t even allowed under the same roof with the sun shining if parents aren’t home.

In the same bedroom?! Not going to happen here. Not even in college.
