Thanks. I printed this.

You're welcome! If you're taking transit, I recommend getting familiar with the subway versus the Japan Rail (JR) maps beforehand. JR is sometimes more efficient than subway to get around in Tokyo.

Sensoji + lunch at Sansada (the literal original tempura shop…prepare for a line) + SkyTree

Meiji Jingu + Takeshita-dori Harajuku and street food
Sure, grab the weirdest Japan-only drink you can find at Starbucks in Shibuya if you want and squeeze in at the espresso bar so you can people-watch the world’s busiest intersection. Then go to Uo-bei for lunch. Great shopping in that area

Not itineraries, but one-off ideas:
See if a Water Bus on Tokyo Bay will fit into your plans so you can experience the city via water, see Rainbow Bridge etc

Ginza for shopping and an elegant snack or meal

Have your husband meet you for after-work drinks at Andaz rooftop or Park Hyatt Shinjuku’s 212 bar

Make sure you’re staying on the JR circle line, and carry about 2-3x more cash than you think you need. Have the most excellent time!

Shibuya Scramble is fine to walk across once or twice, then move on after 5 minutes.

I’ve never been to Tokyo, but I would go to the Shibuya Scrambke Square early - I’ve read that you can get a seat at a coffee shop like Starbucks. Then drink coffee and people watch and read newspapers for a couple of hours. I would probably also go to Tokyo Tower for the view. And Ueno Park.

If you have only two days in Tokyo and you're spending it in museums, you're doing it wrong.

Sounds good but we will have been traveling around beforehand. The waterworks museum is an interesting suggestion! Anyone done the national history museum?

Not much shopping. Maybe interesting neighborhoods or galleries.

I have two days to wander around central Tokyo by myself while my spouse works. Any suggestions?
