Ha! At first I read this as wondering what it would be like for kids NOT to live with affectionate parents. How if you never saw it as a kid, then as an adult you would always be uncomfortable and embarrassed when people show affection!

I guess the answer is that it seemed normal to me as a kid, and it seems normal now as an adult.

He is affectionate- kiss on the lips, cuddling on the coach but it is all very G rated unless it’s leading to sex.

At the rate parents divorce, they should be happy their parents are still so in love! Nothing wrong with seeing your parents kissing. It’s sort of strange you think it is. Kissing your spouse in your own house is t PDA, by the way.

Is he perhaps saying that because you are intimate but don't have sex frequently, so he is frustrated by the "teasing"?
If he's sexually frustrated then nonsexual intimacy if frustrating. But if he's sexually fulfilled then intimacy is a nice callback and appetizer.

My kids are physically affectionate with each other and their parents. Why would they be uncomfortable about parents affection?

My DH is the same as yours.

Hmm. I don’t like his attitude.

My DH kisses me before he leaves for work every day. This morning, he was particularly affectionate.

We snuggle and occasionally kiss on the couch almost every day. We kiss in passing. If the kids aren’t around, it could become groping. It’s fun! It leads nowhere, but it’s so much fun.

We shower together every night and I’d say we make out in there every third day.

All this to say, we kiss passionately without it leading to anything, quite often.

Not common at all. DH touches and kisses me all the time in a simply affectionate way. He's pretty much always reaching for my hand or putting his arm around me if we are out in public somewhere.

My boyfriend and I are always touching even when in the car or at a restaurant. Nothing obscene but holding hands, hand on knee, that kind of thing. Hugging or sitting on each other’s laps. We are very affectionate. We even sleep spooning.
