Subject: What do you wear for dressy casual these days?
Jeans wouldn’t be my choice because I don’t consider them “dressy”, no matter how much they cost. That said, there will be people wearing jeans because they either don’t read or care.

Subject: What do you wear for dressy casual these days?
I am of the mind that people wear jeans all the time, so if someone is going to the trouble of hosting a wedding weekend, I can put on something a step up from jeans. I have tons of cute dresses that can lean casual or dressy. Or a wide leg pair of pants with silk shirt or something else fun.

I’d wear a dress or silk jumpsuit with a less constructed or artistic feel, and boots if appropriate for weather appropriate. Chunkier jewelry. Maybe a silk skirt and cashmere sweater with long lame earrings. Artsy clutch.

I'd probably do dark jeans, heels, and a silk blouse for the drinks event and a casual dress for brunch.

That's what I wear, but only because I feel like I don't have any cute tops or dresses (they just don't fit right). Feel like trousers are pretty common in dressy casual scenarios, but dark jeans are OK.

Going to a wedding in a couple weeks and the attire for the night before drinks at a bar and the day after brunch in the hotel is listed as dressy casual. Curious what others pick to wear in these situations.
