NP here. You should consider getting some exercise. It improves mood and makes people nicer.

OP, I'm with you. Just a year ago, I kicked off an earnest exercise routine. I'm 50. I had worked out regularly prior to having kids, but once kids came into the picture, between work, their care, and broken sleep, I lacked both the time and the energy to exercise. So here I am 1 year later -- stronger and looking pretty much the same, but good. Some nagging aches and pains I had have resolved, perimenopause symptoms have been totally manageable, and I look forward to exercise as something that will have me feeling better vs. something that will sap what little energy I have left. Weightlifting was what is making the difference for me. I've really been enjoying it, vs. the HIIT and more cardio-focused stuff I had tried in the past.

Barre rekindled my love of exercise. The mind-body connection really works for me---harkens back to my gymnastics days, many moons ago.
