Chelsea Market is good too for lunch, browsing shops, followed by High Line.

I take my 10 year old DD to NYC for the weekend every summer. In addition to many of the activities listed above, we’ve enjoyed The Met (Costume Institute exhibits have been good, along with others).

If you like special occasion tea service, tea at The Plaza (Eloise-themed) is nice to try once, tea at Serendipity is fun and more casual too.

We’ve also had mani/pedis at nice salons in Midtown (that allow kids).

In Central Park, the rowboats followed a meal the Boat House restaurant is a nice afternoon/evening.

Math museum and the MET. Walk around Central Park vs highline (we did both recently and highline was very crowded)

Don’t know how much you like the cold but my 10yo loved renting E scooters and riding them around Central Park. I know it’s not NY specific bif it’s something we wouldn’t normally do and a fun way to see Central Park.
Also, Ellen’s stardust diner for the singing. Go at an off peak time to avoid a line.

Slomoo, color factory and ice cream museum are all fine but chain museums you can do elsewhere. The Tenement Museum is only in nyc. Rise NyC is a museum about the city with an amusement park ride at the end.

A food tour is fun at that age; mine liked the one of the Lower East Side.

Central Park has a lot to do. There is a zoo, ice rink, carriage rides and playgrounds.

Ferry to Staten Island, plus ride the beautiful sea-themed carousel down by the ferry. Eat in Chinatown. People watch in Washington Square Park. If she likes Hamilton, you could do a Hamilton-themed sights tour, which my then-tween loved when we did it.

I always love the American Museum of Natural History, which is one of the all-time absolute greats. Whatever her interests are, she’ll find something there.

My daughter and I take a mom/daughter trip to NYC every year for the last 3 years over Presidents Day. Starting to plan next years trip and looking for some new ideas on things to do. We will for sure see a Broadway Show as we do every year but looking to fill in the rest of the time. Last year we did the Met, FAO Schwartz, and meandering down 5th Avenue. Year before we did the Empire State Building and Times Square.

We’re staying midtown by the Park to be close to the theater district but good to go anywhere…

What should we do? Thanks!
