How are they liking it and where did they come from?

I don’t want to out my school. I’ve kept in touch with one teacher and she likes it because she’s on the same schedule as her kids now, that was the main motivation. She also got a pay raise. She has more available curriculum wise than we did. At any new job, a change and getting used to a new place and new people will be difficult so the usual hardships are there with that (different processes, procedures, tech…)

Will you name the district?

OP here.

So I have 16 years of full time public school teaching experience and 4 years part time. I have a master's degree plus 60 graduate credits, about half of which were in the past 10 years. I also am National Board Certified.

I'm looking to see which VA school district would pay me the highest (pensionable) salary if I moved to VA (from a different state). Getting a VA teaching license would not be a problem.

What is the maximum step your school district will offer to an incoming teacher for years of experience?

I’ve heard ACPS accepts up to 16 years. However, I think many school districts Have some flexibility based on how critical the need is if you teach special ed math or science, you’re probably going to have more Flexibility
