My MIL does this and I have to leave the room when she's chewing gum. Luckily she doesn't chew gum very often.

Some of us were instructed not to chew gum in public. This is why.

If they are twirling their hair and looking spaced out while snapping their bubble gum, then it balances it out.

Weird, that doesn't bother me.

Sounds that bother me:
- people not silencing their cell notifications
- having cellphone conversations in public
- barking dogs

Those things drive me batty. You have to be really classless jerk to have a cellphone conversation at a place like the gym.

I hate it so much that I will do almost anything to avoid hearing it. If someone is doing it on the metro I literally get off and get onto a different car.

Are so f’ing crass. How do these morons not realize how annoying they are? It’s been a long week and I really don’t feel like listening to you snap away at your gum nor do I want to look at your ugly mouth as it twitches away. Are you seriously that clueless?
