My kiddo loves Extended Day at ATS. Didn’t start off doing it but got a slot in 2nd grade. Good luck OP!

It's been a few years but we loved extended day at ATS. We did some of the enrichment activities to make it a little cooler. As your kids get older, just know that more parents have their kids riding the bus home instead. And if you pick up your kid close to six, they might be the last kid there. But it's good aftercare.

I’m also at a different school but also have kids who beg to stay for extended day and complain when I pick them up “too early.” This seems to be the most common feedback I hear from families with kids in ExDay!

Op here- we are a current ats family. My kids just really want to do extended day, so I’m considering switching up my work schedule to give me some more am breathing room.

You do realize that ATS has a lottery system (with a long waitlist) and it’s not even assured that your child will get in?

Or if you’re a current ATS family, never mind.

Right? I signed up and only sent my kids two days per week. My kids were really salty at me such that we started going more often so they could hang out with friends. It's where they've made their best friends. Even when I pick them up, they say, "why'd you pick me up so early!?"

Oh, it's a scene...and the older the get, the longer they want to stay.

It can have a waitlist but it's a great program.
And OP, I realize that you are likely not leaving your kid there until 6. After 5, there aren't a lot of kids. The one thing you can do is PAY CLOSE ATTENTION when registering. You register in one place and pay the fee in a totally different system. This is how i got wait listed. A few times.

Hi! Planning ahead for next year — does ATS extended day have a waitlist?
