people are so cheap!

How do you identify YOUR newspaper in the centralized location?

Someone is STEALING ours. We need to re-set our Ring camera broader view.

It's about every other week. We only get Sunday edition.

It truly pisses me off.

People who can't afford a subscription by themselves need to think of creative ways of accessing content that doesn't involve taking someone else's paper. They could go in on a subscription with some other people, for instance.

I’d be surprised if there wasn’t a camera in an apartment lobby in this day and age. They’re pretty cheap and easy to set up.

Op should put up a sign that people are being video recorded. The thief wouldn’t know any different.

Actually, online is more harmful to the environment than paper. The carbon footprint is much larger.

This might be the best solution. One of the problems with living in an apartment building. Is there a way the front desk can take your paper like they do for packages?

This happened to us years ago, only they were stealing and not borrowing (and we knew exactly who the culprit was).

I finally scooped the cat's litterbox into an old open newspaper, folded it back up and put it in a delivery bag. Left it in the lobby super early one morning.

They never stole our paper again.

maybe leave a note in it when you see that somebody had read it and put it back

Obviously you need to grab it when you see it and go bring it upstairs if you can't fit it into your mailbox in the lobby. Nothing else will work.

I live in a large apartment building. Newspapers that residents subscribe to are delivered to a central location in the lobby.

Lately, someone has been picked up my copy of the Washington Post, reading it, and putting it back. For example, this morning when I went out for my daily run, I checked and my paper was in a plastic sleeve in the lobby. When I came back indoors, ready to drink my coffee and read the Style section, my newspaper had disappeared. Then, later in the day, my paper was back in the newspaper delivery spot, without its plastic bag, with the pages obviously paged through.

There is already a sign saying the newspapers belong to individual subscribers. What else can I do to keep someone from snaffling my Washington Post!
