No, OP. I think the Whole 30 is goofy. Why no legumes? Why no dairy? Why no whole grains? Every argument that I have heard for cutting out significant categories of whole foods has always been bunk. Focus on eating things that come from directly from nature with little or no processing (within reason - i.e. fermented items). Make this not a "diet" but how you eat every day. Then you won't stress about the occasional slice of pumpkin pie, chocolate, or tater tot.
