No.

And you aren't going to get "good food" at a kid-friendly AI.

Mostly true, but not absolute. The food at the aforementioned Xcaret Mexico is superb.

Their sister resort (which does not allow kids) Arte is even better, and their exclusive one Casa De La Playa has four restaurants by Michelin chefs and is the best food I have had at any AI. Also gives you full access to all 3 resorts and their restaurants and amenities. But it will cost $3K a night.

Grand Palladium Costa Mujeres was one of the nicer AIs I've been too. It had also been recently renovated so it had a modern feel.

Is this related to Velas Vallarta? We went here two years in a row with kids aged 5-16, our family, parents and sister's family. It was lovely. I thought the food was good, the kids loved it. Beautiful resort, fun activities, great pool. Only drawback for us was the beach. The waves were very big and rough. You could not get in.

Xcaret was pretty darn nice, but I'd only choose it for a kid who is capable of being fully active, as part of what you are paying for is access to adventure parks and you need to be fully mobile to take advantage of those.
