It's not acceptable to have so many people effectively crash the border completely unvetted, then stay, getting better benefits and healthcare than so many Americans. It affects recent legal immigrants and poor Americans more than other populations as well. There is absolutely zero excuse for it not being a priority for either party.

For most voters there is a difference between legal and illegal immigration. The Biden administration has also increased immigration via dubious means such as giving discretionary parole to many hundreds of thousands of people who otherwise would not be able to enter. The whole world is watching it and sees that those who enter, regardless of whether they have a valid claim to be here, get to stay.
The math is no longer as clear about whether it is good for the economy.
Of course we should have many routes of immigration. But we need to focus on giving our humanitarian benefits to the most deserving individuals who are ACTUAL refugees, not people showing up on our doorstep with fake/dubious asylum claims.
Too bad the loser you worship nuked the bill to address all that, huh.
DP. Too bad I’m not stupid enough to believe that bill was any good at all.
So where’s the “good” bill he never signed when he was in the office? It’s his bread and butter, why would he be behind doing anything about it?

They add money to the GDP and are working hard for little pay. Before heading to work I always go to WAWA. AT 530 am you will see so many hard working illegals at WAWA on their way to work. Trump or his allies won't even tell us they will deport illegals or anything. Most of small town that support him, have very little immigration so they don't know really know them.
How do you know they are “illegals”? Do you go around Wawa every morning asking to see people’s legal documents??

But really? It seems like people I know who are not particularly affected by this issue are focused on it as a deciding factor in the election. It’s immigration, immigration, immigration.
Is immigration that terrible for our country? In my world at least, the most obvious related issue I see is that small businesses don’t have enough labor. So immigration is a good thing.
Maybe I’m myopic. Can someone please explain?
