No, it's possible. Some get very mean verbally, possibly passive aggressive.

Please help me understand - this isn’t classic dementia aggression, due to confusion. My mom told me that it was her charity to let me go to uni, which is free in my homeland, and to which I would have had a legal right any way. 2 days later, I tell her that hopefully I’ll feel better soon (long struggle with Covid, almost 2 months), and then I can visit and we can go to do something she likes (opera, concerts). I was really looking forward. She totally ignores me, when I repeat myself she just says “oh well” - I know this isn’t her, it’s not confusion or aggression because I know she understood me. It’s like she couldn’t care at all. Very hurtful…
