Like, we get it—-you can say and describe sex acts in great detail. At some point the shock value wears off and those jokes just seem very repetitive. Is the show almost all sex jokes or is there more to it?
Agree with this. In her first special the sex jokes were a part of her routine, and they moved the narrative forward. This time it just felt like constant "shocking" sex jokes with little other narrative.
I love stand up comedy and have always watched a lot of it. There are some comics who have really raised the bar in recent years. I'm thinking especially of Hannah Gadsby and Mike Birbiglia. Their shows are so well crafted from beginning to end.
