New 9th grade parent so no idea what was communicated in the FB group, but there is a very active presence on Instagram (official school account as well as SGA account). Maybe they moved from FB to IG?
As seems to be trend at many HSs. Too bad because not all parents used FB, or use IG.
Some Magnet parents wanted to stop the email group and switch to facebook a number of years ago. It was amazing how many parents either did not have FB at all or never checked it. I enjoy seeing that the email group still exists even though my child is long gone. I think there might be a FB group too which is fine.
I'm a magnet parent and was never even told about a Facebook group.
