You are supposed to be able to compare scores; that said, if you score high on the lower test (like a high 99th percentile) your raw score and percentile may go down sutstantially on the next test, because the easier test isn't great at estimating scores for students who have maxed out on content.

The score can be compared with other grade levels. If the score is 200 and 99th percentile but the same score might be be 80th percentile for the next grade.

MAP math's two version. Scores cannot be compared by different grade even taking the same set (2-5 or 6+)?
