I am in Silver Spring and I could see it facing north through my phone very clearly. This is despite all the street lamps.

Did you try using your phone/camera to look? Sometimes you can barely see with the naked eye but your phone amps up the colors.

I’m right outside of Tysons and noticed the sky looked a little pink, when I took a picture in night mode, bam, there it was.
