I'd focus on a few slightly more fall sides.

grainy mustard potato salad with lots of dill

orzo salad with roasted butternut squash, cranberries, spinach, and a vinaigrette

corn on the cob

fresh tomatoes if you can find good ones with mozzarella, balsamic glaze, garlic olive oil, and basil

baked beans with bacon

Broccoli salad, German potato salad, street corn salad, baked beans

Baked taters. Do 'em on the grill too. But they take like an hour.

Potato chips

Asparagus roasted on the grill

Grilled vegetables
That German potato salad that's just potatoes, olive oil, salt, pepper, and thinking sliced onions
Sweet potato wedges
Black bean burgers for vegetarians

Pasta salad
Grilled veggies
Coleslaw

Tator tots
Salad
Brussel sprouts
Grilled veggies (sliced thinly and you can use them as burger toppings too)

Having people over this weekend for one last cookout (well, first cookout of the season, we've had a lot going on!) Any ideas for sides that are a little more creative than just fries? For some reason I'm drawing a blank.
