How are you fitting a 2 sink vanity in a 5’x7’ bathroom?

We paid $25k earlier this year for a full gut job on a similar sized bathroom that had a terrible mold issue. All new drywall, flooring, replaced tub with tiled shower and glass door, new vanity, lighting, quartz countertops, new medicine cabinet, mirror, all new fixtures, upgraded shower fixtures, quiet exhaust fan. Also included a new large vanity, quartz countertop, lighting, and mirror for the dressing area outside the bathroom. We used a company which specializes in kitchen and bath remodeling and chose all our materials at their showroom. location: outer Maryland suburbs of DC. Job completed in 6 days. Worth every penny!!!

We live about an hour from DC in Howard county and it was about $15k for us to redo the hall bath- we only saved the white tub. We did quartz countertops (remnant) and Kohler fixtures

That’s ok. I did upgrade the toilets so I had to accept the new environmental regulations. I hope they do get another life somewhere else.

Hang a shower curtain and you should be good to go. Don't complicate it with a door and such.

PP again.. We've done 2 bathroom remodels, one new bathroom and a full kitchen demo and remodel over the years, all with a good handyman and his helpers. Costs a lot less than general contractors and all still standing strong. Recently we had a bathroom leak issue and a few other drywall repair type issues. A full-fledged contractor gave us a price quote of $5000+. A handyman did the work for about $1500. Make sure you have plan laid out though and tell them exactly what you want to go where. You will become the general contractor and need to run to home depot to buy things he forgot to tell you about earlier, etc.

Our tiny bathroom similarly sized cost 50k to remodel a year ago. But we had to replace all plumbing and electric and had to replace an extra stack of plumbing below the basement as well once the floors were opened up. Our house is 100 years old.

A low end bid was around 20k excluding materials like tiles, vanity, toilet (and excluding the plumbing we ended up needing to replace.) so really it probably would have been 30-40k minimum.

A lot will come down to your fixture selections. Vanity for $1k or $500? Shower curtains or glass?

We did this two years ago on 8x5 bath with tub and shower curtains and we were all in about 13k.

I don’t think you need a big design firm for this, just a qualified contractor.

Get numerous bids.
