LIKE, OMG, WOULD’T IT BE BE GREAT IF WE HAD A LITTLE COFFE SHOP IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD?

OR A BIKE SHOP?

It’s the next step in the evolution of urbanizing the suburbs. All of these little projects are Trojan horses.

Oh please. Get a life.

A coffee shop in my neighborhood is not something to fear. Geez.

Don’t believe me? Take a look at the Brookville pharmacy in Chevy Chase and tell me how that has ruined the neighborhood. Be specific. What are you afraid of?

Was it build by right? What was the review process? What’s it zoned for? What prevents the next one from being a tattoo shop or vape shop or a phone check cashing store?

Now they won’t even have to supply parking within so many feet in residential areas. Can’t wait for the vape shop dudes to park on in front of my house. How vibrant it will be.

I don't know if that's true, but if it is true - I support it.

As far as I know, OP does not object to living next door to a commercial use. OP objects to living next door to loud fans.

Maybe it's a mini data center.

(I'm joking.)

We’ve tried to have him arrested for having guns and have tried to file ex-parte orders against him and his potential customers to keep them 500 ft away from our property, but we have been unsuccessful in all of our efforts so far.

I wish we’d known about his “home based business” before we moved in. Ugh.

He probably handles the weapons safer than 99.9% of the people. So nice of you to try to sue someone so they can't make a living.

Does your neighborhood have an HOA or covenants?

Although I, personally, might start by talking to the neighbor.

We are trying but the neighbor is basically an absentee landlord — I’ve lived here 15 years and never met them. They’ve rented the house out periodically.

I didn’t see any notice posted on the house or opportunities for neighbors to object. Anything we can do?
