Start with a meeting with the Reading Specialist and Teacher. You will want to understand any trends and how far below a student is showing in comparison to the average norm. Don't immediately assume or worry that LD testing is need and don't assume it's not. Approach it as something to have further discussion about to determine if more investigation/assessment is warranted.
Ok. My child is sort of straddling the line "at benchmark", getting ok grades, but not consistently either poor or great. It's frustrating to try to figure out if we need to do more.

Anonymous wrote:If your child scored benchmark, why were they given RAN? We only give RAN for students who score below and far below grade level.
