So my parents are like this. They got a dog because they are lonely and because my sister won't speak to them or let them see her kids.

The dog is ill behaved because they let her do whatever she wants and they only got her so that they could have unconditional love from a cute creature living in their house.

The good news is that they don't take her many places so she mostly just terrorizes people in their home. So they aren't taking her to the grocery store or restaurants and inflicting her on other people. The live in a small town and people don't really do that there.

The other good news is that while they don't train her she is not aggressive plus she's small. Plus they are home with her all the time so she's not neglected.

So while it is still annoying I still rank them well below the super entitled dog owners who live near me in the city who want to take their dogs with them everywhere in the city and also leave them at home to bark for hours on end. In addition to not training them. Plus they all have big pit mixes whereas my parents have a King Charles spaniel. So extremely different potential for harm.

She rarely eats kibble and the kibble we buy is more than homemade so I make her food and freeze it. And, she shares my food depending on what. What’s the big deal feeding your dog real food?

Saw this on vacation recently at a "no pets" hotel and inn. Watching dog's behavior, no way was it a service dog.

What is with this demographic? They treat their dogs like their grandchildren.

They feel more entitled to having Fifi at the grocery store or restaurant than actual children.

Their dogs are horribly behaved and they make excuse after excuse but don’t have a relationship with their children because they set boundaries.
