I'm not sure if laid back is the right term, but I definitely give less sh**s and am better at holding my boundaries.

Yep this.

So much more laid back. My husband too (we're late 50s). We used to both be Type A, first born, hard driving, competitive people. It's really nice to be more chill, more laid back about things and to not care what anyone thinks of us.

If it feels good do it.

There is no right or wrong.

I’m definitely more laid back now that I’m retired. But I do feel more stress as it relates to the state of our country and the future of my children and grandchildren. Trump scares the crap out of me. I’m not a Harris fan but we can survive her.

I’ve become more laid back, but peri-menopause causes me regular bouts of all-consuming anxiety and insecurity. So three weeks of the month I’m Dr. Jekyll, and then one week a month I’m Mr. Hyde.

I've gotten more anxious, but I have also come to be a lot less self-conscious and care a lot less about what people think of me.

I believe that as you get older, you become the truest version of yourself because you no longer care as much about what other people think or really think about what other people think.

I have seen relatives become more relaxed, more friendly, more gregarious. I have also seen my own mother, unburdened by social niceties, become a complete and total anxious and mean monster.

I am 0 percent laid back. Too many bad experiences over the years have made me reluctant to experience things openly.

Definitely more laid back. I’ve seen my mom go in the opposite direction, though, so I know that isn’t inevitable!

I feel like the older I get, the more laid back I become. I have a much easier time "rolling with the punches" and getting over things. Meanwhile, I know some people who are becoming more tense and more energy seems to be spent on worrying when things don't go as expected than when we were younger.

Have you become more or less laid back over time? What do you think is contributing to that for you?
