I like these classic designs much more than a lot of the recent "trendy" pieces they have put out, especially anything themed.

However, the quality is not where it used to be. I have several of my grandma's vintage leather Coach bags and when I checked out the new Curve in the store, it felt very cheaply made compared to hers that I have.

I've never been a fan of any designer bags with a print, so the return to basic classics is awesome. I just wish the quality was there.

I also think they're doing great lately, the new / classic styles are solid and the quality is way better than anything at this price point or even above.

I recently shocked myself and bought a Coach bag for everyday and I totally love it. It's simple, well-made and and interesting shape but subtly. It has just a small c as the turn-lock so unless you noticed that you'd have no clue.

I think Coach is doing great with their leather bags these days. I'm in a purse forum on reddit that skews towards luxury brands, but the leather Coach bags that get shared remind me of the ones we had when we were younger - more classic than trendy, nice shapes, a little quieter than the period when they all had tassels and things hanging off them.

Op here. Do you all think Coach will rise above the likes of Marc Jacobs, Michael Kohrs, etc.. ? Not to judge the other designers but I am curious about the future of Coach. In the 80s/90s the quality was superb.

I do like their limited edition rogue bags and think the craftsmanship on those is good. They used to be good value for the money, But Coach has raised the price on those to over 1,000 dollars.

The linked Dinky and Cassie look cheap. The Curve has more potential based on the photo, but the zipper looks cheap.

I like them.

Hope the days of T-Rex charms and C logos are over.
