national in what way? because you travel 3 states away in onw direction?

Its like ECNL vs ECNL-RL, one is "national" and one is "regional" but they play the same clubs in the same locations

Both ECNL and GA clubs in LA and San Diego can take 2 hours to drive to both ways (not including traffic).

Also both Socal ECNL and GA leagues play 2 clubs in AZ which are a 6 hour drive from Socal (not including traffic)

Go away SoCal dad your perspective is utterly useless with the realities of population density on the east coast.

Exactly! Since the traffic on the EAST coast is a gem compared to Cali! Especially when we get to play in NY or NJ.

Ok, how long is the drive usually?

Is it 2 hours to play the far away "local" clubs and 6 hours to play the out of state clubs?

The reason I commented is because just by lurking on this forum I'm starting to see a general whiny complainy type of parent that nothing is good enough for.

Traffic is traffic and it's never fun.

Did you know the reason west coast people dont honk as much? It's because there's been several road rage situations where the person honking gets shot. Something to think about.

Just because teams are in the same state doesn't mean they are close by. Skyline in Charlottesville is a 2-3 hour drive for the other VA/MD teams, not much different than driving to PA or south Jersey from VA. Pittsburgh is not close to Philly and they are in the same state. No matter how you slice and dice it, there will always be teams traveling a 2-3 hours for games.

With the new teams in the mid atlantic GA this year, travel has never been easier. Only one overnight trip for league games is nothing. We'll do way more overnight trips for showcases. League games is the easy part. If you are complaining about the one time travel needed for league games, as a PP mentioned, you should re-think being in a national platform.

If one long weekend a year is a problem, you might want to stick to regional leagues. ECNL is even worse for league play.

It’s not happening. If you don’t want to travel then play ncsl or EDP.

EDP for NOVA sucks. Very few teams and lots of travel far out. Too bad it didn’t catch on like it did in MD.
