Do good work and stand on your own merit instead of schmoozing someone else to go to bat for you. Maybe he was feeling used and it might not have anything to do with your husband's income.

I feel like both of those things are flaunting your wealth and may make people think you don't need a job.

I don't see why he should judge you as long as you are doing your job.


I was in a refugee camp once and a big wig at a UN agency (think WFP, WHO) was wearing a Rolex. Who does that?!!
