I mean, it’s an American train. You will get there eventually. If you don’t have a car it’s a better option than in most of this country.

Low key car-free kid vacation secret is train to Williamsburg and Busch Gardens. Train is cheap, hotels are cheap, BGW is cheap(er) (except for food which is gross and expensive).

We’ve used the train a ton for our college kids over the past 4 years. Some delays but we haven’t experienced any cancellations.

+2. NP. My WM kid is a junior and has always taken the train unless it’s a move in/move out situation or we need to so something like take a bike. Never had a cancellation. It certainly beats sitting on I-95. It’s safe, reliable and the WM kids like it. I’d certainly do it over a bus down 95.

Trying to send our kid to visit a friend at W&M, and we cannot figure out how to get them there without a car. Amtrak seems to have two trains/day, but the times are bad, and one is often canceled. Is there a safe/reliable bus? Welcome any suggestions….
