The new LC is fun to drive. Are the 4Runners out yet? Pretty excited for those too.

Best for overall reliability is probably the 1999 LC 100 series. But it’s a dog with the old 3 speed transmission.

And while the clean 100 series are expensive the 570s are coming down. You can a nice 10 year old one with less than 100k for under 30k.

And I also seek out the older GX470s - they are not full size but they are exceptionally well built.

I realize this is not what you asked but if you like LCs those are my thoughts from 30 years of LC ownership.

Not OP but safety tech on those is non-existent and no Carplay


LC people don't care about this because 1. we can drive and 2. audio is easy to upgrade.

Agreed. Love the look, but it is a big price difference. But before I committed to the 4Runner I would want to know when they are going to change the look. Big changes this year for the bigger Lexus SUVs. The GX460, to me, now looks a lot like the 4Runner. Which makes me wonder if there is a updated model in the works for the 4Runner
