My guess, only a guess, is that colleges are only interested in understanding whether student is classified as “international”. That category usually means a student visa will be required and usually means student will be full-pay.

I am irritated my the extraneous information requested on forms these days. Why does a college care if you have duel citizenship? I fully believe the school is selling this information.

Totally unrelated, but I had to complete a form for my flu shot vaccine appt. They wanted to know my gender assigned at birth. What does that have to do with the flu vaccine? I am getting old and cranky so I if I don’t think the question is pertinent, I ignore. Carry on, rant over 😁

My dual citizen kid listed that she was a dual citizen. Does it matter? Who knows.

Nobody cares. My dual citizen kid put his dual citizenship. It doesn't matter.

My ds put US citizen in common app instead of dual citizen (he is a US citizen + another citizenship) Do you think it matters greatly?
