I assume yes. They are digging it up so there are people that can figure that stuff out.

I know she said the house only had one owner before, but who knows what was there before that. I don't know where she lives.

I think she thought it was humorous and didn’t really believe there was anything to it, but you could see a physical change when the dogs sat on the spot. That’s where you could see her oh crap moment and her demeanor changed.

Does anyone know if it’s possible to determine the age of a buried rug?

I don’t know, I think she is caught really offguard by all of a sudden, having over a million followers when she had 6000 last week. I did watch all 22 videos She has posted about it so far and she actually addresses that. She hasn’t been able to sleep, she recognizes this could change peoples lives if they actually find something, AND I think she has the adrenaline running and comes off as if she’s gleeful but it’s disbelief about being thrown into this. really can you imagine this happening to you?

Following along now and fully invested. Thanks, OP.

These stories are positively chilling and macabre. There was a fairly recent story of long abandoned storage trunks (in an old apartment building) holding skeletal remains. Or how a the remains of soldier declared missing decades ago was found in the walls of a building about to be razed.

I have a relative who up and disappeared decades ago and my prayer is that in all of these cases, families get answers and to long-held family secrets and answers. My family is still waiting.

The comments said that the dogs can tell the difference between blood and a body? Like they are trained to recognize decay not just blood. But I don't know how accurate random people on the internet are. I think folks were saying the dogs can tell the difference between people and animals too.

I read that on the subReddit. Cadaver dogs are highly trained so I wouldn’t doubt it.

I didn’t beleive in ghosts or haunted houses either until I lived in one. I didn’t even make it a full week before I moved out.

Just came to say thank you! This is extremely entertaining. Those dogs sitting in the spot made me LOL. Can't wait to see where it leads!

She had been posting leading up to this that she thought her house was haunted (I don't believe in ghosts, but kind of crazy). Her name is @katiesantry if anyone wants to follow. Hopefully it ends up being nothing. Or maybe the house is old and it is an old family plot?

What is crazy is that she called her listing agent, I think they’ve lived there for under a year, who contacted the daughter of the previous owners who were apparently the owner only owner of the home! The couple are in their 90s. I get what you’re saying about a potential family plot, but that doesn’t account for a 6’ rug being buried under the ground. Bizarre.

Yes!!! Wild!

Here’s the summary for anyone who doesn’t have time to watch the 22 TikToks – but if you do, I highly recommend.

This lady was digging in her yard and found a huge rug that was rolled up and buried deep in her yard. She was going to dig it up on her own, but then posted a video on tiktok and everyone told her to call the police in case it was a body. So, the police came and eventually brought cadaver dogs, and the dogs signaled at the rug. So now they are digging it up today.
