This happened with my wolf range - it was the misalignment of the burner cap. There is an igniter and if the cap wasn’t properly aligned, it would click. It was pretty finicky and a couple of times I had to use a straight pin to clean the grease out of the little holes. It might be the same with your range. I switched to induction recently, so I’m glad to be rid of that issue.

Mine does that, but only one burner, so I just don’t use that one. I had a repair person come out to look at it a few years ago and it stopped for a little while, but then it started right back up. I think it can sometimes be debris in the igniter or something like that.

Make sure you call GE Monogram for service.
We had a similar problem and it took 3 visits to fix it and at least since we went through the monogram service support, Monogram covered the 2nd and 3rd visit.

The clicking is the ignition. You should be turning it back a small amount after it ignites.

I thought the clicking was the ignition, not the gas.

We had this happen and called a tech (he was already here for something else). Turns out our burners were dirty and we missed it. Try to do a very good job cleaning one.

Don't mess around with gas, hire a professional.

We have a GE monogram gas stove. Lately, whenever we use the burners, the clicking sound that you hear when it's lighting continues for about 30 seconds to a minute before finally stopping. It is so annoying plus I'm sure putting out a lot of gas. Best guess I can come up with is that something happened when our cleaners were last here, though it is happening with all four burners, so maybe is something else.
