Don’t get your child involved in a team sport if you are not going to be able to make most of the games. You will all just be flustered and frustrated. Maybe a singular activity is better for your family schedule like martial arts, swimming, dance, rock climbing or tennis? The reality is soccer and baseball and baseball are Saturdays. I am not sure about lacrosse. You could try i9 flag football because they meet on Sundays and the practices and games are back to back.

The poster is just annoyed because they have to get up early on a Saturday to shuttle their kids around in the morning...well, that's what 95% of the parents with kids on teams do on Saturday morning. And as someone said, the younger your kid the earlier the games. Just the way it is. Lacrosse is definitely on Saturday mornings.

i9 Sports is what you want. They are leagues that are once per week, not that competitive and the practice is right before the game. You pick based on the day and time. You search by sport and location. They have options near you for a variety of sports. https://www.i9sports.com/

Travel baseball at that age is on Sundays, as many kids play Little League on Saturdays. It switches to Saturdays when kids turn 13.

BCC rec baseball was on Sundays as I recall. Forget soccer as most leagues (rec and travel) have Saturday morning games.

Not a team sport, but cross country meets are on Sundays.

Check i9 schedules. They arent very competitive but have sunday only options. Also just check around various clubs for sports your kid likes. We found volleyball and flag football leagues on sunday. Son played soccer on Saturday and wanted a second sport. Swim or golf are options too.

This, plus travel soccer is mostly (but not always) Sunday games.

Springfield may be too far for you, but SYC usually includes typical schedules on its website for rec sports programs. For all the things to dislike about SYC, I've found that really helpful.

In my experience, the younger kids have the early rec games and the older kids play later in the day. But try baseball and lacrosse --- games may be on Sundays.

That said... over the long haul, my kid hasn't played on a travel team that didn't involve some Saturday morning activity.

I’d be super grateful for any leads. We’re in McLean but happy to travel for the right opportunity.

Good luck with that one. Let me know when you find it.

Welcome to the world of youth sports.
