Subject: Do you know your IQ?
I don't know my IQ or that of my children even though my oldest had some extensive neuropsychological testing.

My parents actually didn't give us our IQ scores we got testing into gifted because they didn't want us to compare. They also taught us that being smart didn't mean much if you didn't apply yourself.
For those of us who say we were tested we received all the subscores which is how LD’s are identified.

No. I know my kids are 130 (both, twins)and my dh 156. I am not from the US and it's not done at all where I am from. I always assumed it was low.

I was tested in public high school. It was 140. My kids were tested for lds so we have their results also.

PP answering my own question. It was the main character on High Potential.
Yeah, that show is pointing out. The law of diminishing returns with intelligence which happens around 140 and she’s 160 which means she has a hard time functioning in society.

Mine was 137 when I was tested in 3rd grade. I often wonder what it would be now and if I would test the same...given I often can barely remember what I did this morning!

I don’t know my exact iq, but I tested into the gifted program in the mid 1980s in elementary school. Anyone know what the cutoff was? I think I was the only one in my class to be accepted.
I even remember some of the test questions, being asked to repeat a long sentence about a car traveling and crossing the railroad tracks.

I remember reading a state test tension 5th grade. It said 144. I’m sure it’s lower now.

I know it because I was tested for a LD.
It’s 126
My kids were each 119, I remember that because if they were 120 they would have been considered gifted by the schools and received an IEP. But they weren’t so they didn’t.
We are all dyslexic.
