I remember my 4 year old doing my 4th grader's fractions homework because he just couldn't be bothered, it was so boring. But novel for my preschooler!

But please make sure your kids' math skills are solid in elementary, because tracking starts in late elementary or early middle school, depending on your school system, and math becomes progressively more challenging. High school math, at the AP level, is no joke.

DD is in 4th grade and in the 4/5 math curriculum (faster paced will cover 4th grade and some of 5th grade this year). She is currently working on metric conversions (mili, centi, deci... etc)

OP is your child in advanced math or the regular track? If your child is bored and not in advanced math, maybe chat with the teacher on whether advanced math (if offered at your school in 4th) would be a good fit?

Though FCPS did just water down at least the 3rd grade advanced math curriculum compared to prior years. Not sure about 4th.

Christian school using Math in Focus, whose homework I just snagged: final assignment for a chapter on estimation. Sum and difference of two numbers, product of 3-digit and 1-digit, quotient of 3-digit and 1-digit.

You can easily find the curriculum for each grade level on the school website.

Multiplication, fractions, and stuff like prime numbers

We are still on 3 digit addition and subtraction. A little fraction work. Like probability of pulling a blue marble out of a bag.

Usually it’s fractions and multiplication Boring, no way around it.

Same but in addition to careless mistakes or not being able to read his own writing things like greatest common factor are a struggle for DS’s because he still hasn’t mastered the multiplication table. So we starting to do multiplication flash cards.

Two and three digit multiplication, a lot of decimal stuff and some prep for fractions.

School uses bridges curriculum but it’s been up and down- I never know if my kid is on track or not.
