+1. We toured it for pre-K and there was duct tape holding the walls together. The school really had no chance of attracting more neighborhood families with the school in that condition. But PP is correct that pre-K is solid almost everywhere in DC, so when IB families see a shiny new building and hear a well pitched speech on the pre-K program, you may get more families willing to give it a chance (like Barnard or John Lewis). Doesn't mean they'll stay, but "neighborhood buy in," i.e., gentrification, starts with pre-K and moves up the grades.
