Subject: Re:outdoor ed - high school volunteers
I thought they only accepted chaperones who were at least 16 and related to an Outdoor Ed student, and all chaperones are fingerprinted and undergo background checks? What special skills do you think they need? I chaperoned my dd at Outdoor Ed and my primary duties were 1) escorting kids to the cabins/bathrooms/nurse because no student is allowed to go anywhere alone
2) making kids get ready for bed and quieting them down
3) making sure people weren’t coming and going from the cabin at night
