+1. As a millennial I remember when these exact same articles were written about us. It’s always the same story.

Thanks for making the price of avocados skyrocket and killing American cheese.

When you can't get the entrenched workers to get the tails into the office to mentor newbies what do you expect the outcome to be.

Yup. GenX here and same. It’s so embarrassing to see people post this stuff like it’s new or meaningful.

Wonder if the article was written by a GenX slacker?

Please! GenXers were vilified as well by the boomers. I think it’s funny that now Gen-Xers are the baddies vs. the boomers. In a couple of years, it will be the Millennials. It’s always the same story, after all….

So they’re already labeling an entire generation based off the first year of workers from that generation? Let’s not be so quick to judge and give them a chance. Older generations love to criticize younger generations and these assumptions don’t always hold over time. These employees just graduated from college and spent formative years surviving a global pandemic.

Gen Z will take the side gig influencer work for myself notion to a whole ‘nother level. Companies who have not adjusted their mindsets about hiring and keeping talent are going to be in trouble, either that or AI better hurry up and advance even faster.

Thinking about the post earlier re: struggling freshmen. It doesn't get better once they enter the workforce either - They apparently have no initiative or communications skills. This really needs to be a wake up call for how we're raising and educating our kids.
