Two gifts total. One for each bday kid.

Two gifts per birthday kid or one bigger, more expensive gift.

What??? No! Each kid gets own present from each of your kids. So yes, four gifts. Example when my twins go to other twins bday party they each bring two gifts. How is this difficult!

If both of my kids are invited to a bday party we let them each bring a gift. If one of my DC is invited but I know the birthday kid had a twin sibling I let my one child bring 2 gifts.

We spend a little more - but maybe not double. If I normally spend $20-25, I’d spend $40.

For siblings and twins where both my kids are invited, I’d take two $40 gifts. It’s not the birthday kid’s fault they were born the same day / week as a sibling. Imagine what you would do if both kids were invited to two parties weeks or months apart.

The exception is when the kids are in different grades, as are mine, and it’s clear that one kid is the guest of one BD kid and my other kids is the guest of the other BD kid.

I have twins and usually they are both invited. I have always just bought one gift - but a nice one.

I mean, four gifts really isn't excessive when there are 2 bday kids and 2 guests.

When both my kids go to a bday party together, I spend 2x what I'd spend if it was just one of them.

Each of your kid gives only one gift to the household.

Each of your kid only went to one birthday party, Having two birthday cakes does not make it two birthdays,

So, in total, only two gifts are given by your household.

If two kids are invited from one household for the birthday of a single child, you can give a slightly more expensive gift as a combined gift.

No way. You're taking two gifts. Consider one kid as a guest for each sibling's party.
