If the ceiling is white, select a white fan without a light kit and a simple fan blade. My family room 9 foot ceilings and I choose a 3 blade ceiling fan. With a vaulted ceiling, you may need to increase the number of blades for it to be effective.

We have this in our house, and then in laws also did it in their beach house with a cathedral ceiling. Statement piece. Comes in different finishes and sizes, up to 72 inches.

I think there’s a case to be made for the minimalist matte white ones, basically just trying to make them as unobtrusive as possible.

I used Circa’s website because I think they kind of cut out the ugly but I’m pretty sure these exact fans would be much cheaper under a different brand name on other sites so if you find one you like, do an image search.

Thanks!
Yes down on a rod the room is an addition and gets warm so unfortunately necessary

But they’re annoying and China promised that the led lights would last 50 years but all my fans broke after 3. There are no more pull strings and bulb fans. I hate the $1000 I paid on fans that broke

You don’t need it.
I will skip it.

Could you recommend some decent looking ceiling fans?

Classic/modern style, to hang alongside these large pendants in a cathedral ceiling room: https://www.crateandbarrel.com/remi-natural-conical-pendant-light/s258758

So no light wanted/needed in the fan

Should be around 55-60”

I’m really struggling to make decisions and the contractor is nearly about out of patience with us ….

Thank you!
