My child completes all of their work on their own, but I do help manage their time. I suggest what order to work on things and help them with time management. I will be a sounding board for writing and will actually proofread essays if I have time.

None. I don't even see my sophomore doing any homework. I suppose the block schedule gives him time to do most of it during school.

None really. I proof some of the written stuff. But otherwise I offer only to get a tutor, as needed

+1 Same for us. And not because I don't care. I care deeply. For one, I can't help with a lot of it. Secondly, my son has never received help from me very well, many kids are like that. Thirdly, I'm trying to prepare him for college and life where you have to self-advocate. Barring a disability of some kind, IMHO, a high school student should be learning to handle academics on their own.

Kids with disabilities who needed help it still continues every day. Kids who were independent in middle school rarely.

The freshman I help a lot.

The senior I didn’t help at all last year, but this year she is taking AP calc and discovered that a great way to ensure her understanding is re-explaining calculus to me (I haven’t done any calculus since my AP exam in 1994). She teaches it to me, and I ask her questions.

My kid liked to do this when he was taking algebra.

Think a difference too now is all kids can google a better answer for stuff they have questions on than what most parents could answer.

Maybe once or twice a week with 9th grader if they have a specific question or want me to quiz them on test material?

I sit next to DS to help keep him on task. I don't help him with homework.

Same here. 9th grader whom I have to ask whether help is needed. Missed a deadline during the second week but learned their lesson... Knock wood.

My child asks for help on occassion- like once a month. Otherwise, very independent getting the work done
